TEKOTE has chosen
high-purity Na-type montmorillonite, primarily extracted in Oishida Town, Yamagata Prefecture.
Unlike the Ca-type, which is common in Europe, its property of
being exceptionally good at retaining water is its distinguishing feature.

・Its structure, which does not easily release moisture, maintains long-lasting hydration.
・It only absorbs what is unnecessary, retaining moisture.
Despite being a natural material,
this clay possesses a "water-interacting power" much like a living organism.
Because of this characteristic, it was once used as a waterproofing material for lake beds and reservoirs,
and as a material for controlling water.
